Here are some guidelines to help you transition your new addition from Chihuahua World UK into your own home. We are always on the end of the phone to give support but these are a few things we recommend you can do yourself to help.

1. Here at Chihuahua World UK we have a routine for all of our dogs including the puppies, they are let out at 5am to go to toilet, and then back to bed until 7.30am. They are then let out for the toilet again and given food. NOTE: Food is taken up 1 hour before they go to bed which is 7pm. They are also let out at 11pm for their last toilet.

2. Flea treatment is always Advantage at 8 weeks of age foe which they are covered for 28 days and their wormer is either Panacur or Drontol depending on age.

3. During the night they have a radio on and a night light.

4. Food & water bowls are always the stainless steel ones, reason being these are easy to keep clean and will not hide any germs.

5. All of the toys and bedding are washed in Fairy NON Bio pods with no softner.

6. They are free fed during the day, and only fed dry food either Royal Canin or Fish 4 Dogs, under no circumstances feed them a wet complete food and a dry complete food. This can cause health issues and Liver Failure. Also, make sure you feed the correct food relevant for the age i.e Don't feed puppy food when they are not classed as a puppy. At each stage of their lives their requirements change.

7. Puppies are groomed twice a week.

9. Teeth cleaning solution is added to their water every time it is refreshed in the morning and before bedtime.

10. Nail clipping is done weekly and we recommend you keep this up to make sure they remain used to it and it does not become an issue later on.
