PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE EMAILING ANY QUESTIONS
Many emails seem to be sent asking weights of pups, weights of parents and projected weights. I would just like to explain the issue so many people have with regarding weight. Just like us humans dogs carry their weight differently so can look bigger or smaller even if they weigh less or more mainly due to body mass and bone structure as well as their lifestyle at their new home. Don't get hooked up on weights as many customers have been here with their dogs convinced they only weigh 2lb but when i show them an actual 2lb dog they realise just how small 2lb is so then become more familiar with kilos and lbs.
YOU CANNOT BREED FROM A 2lb FEMALE
so if the breeder says mum is only 2lb then you have found a dishonest breeder. (see a 2lb Chihuahua on Pipa and Poppets page click here) Before listening to them claiming this that and the other with weights and sizes about their pups and adults GO and visit them as you and you only need to see and be satisfied that the pup you buy will be what you expect it to be.
Many offer projected adult weights in their adverts which really is only telling prospective buyers what they want too hear and not a guarantee so unless they can show you evidence of this then just take it as a pinch of salt. An honest breeder is hard too find so when customers tell me all the stories they have been told i realised why so many are getting caught out with their money. I can verify that there are
NO
weight patterns from pup to adult, the only way a breeder can offer you valued information is from years of knowing their breeding stock and bloodlines. Good pups ultimately come from the breeders work not just by mating 2 chihuahuas, please do your homework before any thought of breeding, as there is so much damage being done to the uk chihuahuas with the uncontrolled and crossed breeding going on.
